A growing law firm is seeking a Patent Attorney to join its Patent Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in computer science, electrical engineering, or physics, and 2–3 years of patent prosecution experience.
Responsibilities- Draft and prosecute patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Conduct prior art searches and prepare patentability, validity, and freedom-to-operate opinions
- Collaborate with inventors, in-house counsel, and technical experts to protect and manage intellectual property portfolios
- Support due diligence and IP-related transactions
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- 2–3 years of experience in patent prosecution
- Technical knowledge in medical devices, robotics, or machine learning preferred
- Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, and written communication ability
- Admission to practice before the USPTO preferred
