Overview
We are seeking an associate or counsel with 4–7 years of transactional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and experience in debt finance and restructuring, working with a diverse mix of borrowers and lenders on a wide range of financing transactions.
Responsibilities- Structure, document, and manage financing transactions from term sheet to closing.
- Handle secured, unsecured, asset-based, mezzanine, bilateral, syndicated, receivables, acquisition, and cross-border financings.
- Assist with restructurings, workouts, and other related matters as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services to clients.
- JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership (or eligibility) in Maine
- 4–7 years of substantive transactional experience, ideally in debt finance.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Experience in restructuring, workouts, or bankruptcy is desirable but not required.
- Ability to manage complex transactions and work effectively in a team environment.
