Overview
Purpose of Position: Provide daily repair, configuration, and out of the box set up of peripheral devices, including PC’s, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, phones, and other electronic voice and data devices in a large, complex network.
Description
Responsibilities- Configure, install, maintain, and trouble shoot printers, scanners, electronics, and other peripheral devices in local and wide area networks.
- Configure, install, maintain, and trouble shoot PC Workstations including application installation and debugging, network client installation and maintenance.
- Assist with network management and monitoring.
- Install, relocate, replace, troubleshoot and maintain VoIP telephones
- Assist in supporting and maintaining mobile/cell phones and other handheld computing devices
- Performs daily operational tasks including maintaining problem / solution documentation
- Prepares and maintains written documentation and inventory of all systems devices.
- Regularly takes part in technical training
- On-call, and weekend work are required.
- Attends departmental and user meetings as required.
- May provide coordination of small tasks involving more than one end user computing staff member, primarily related to Move/Add/Change (MAC) or construction related scopes of work.
- Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.

QualificationsEducation: Associate in Science with major in Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
- One or both of the following certifications:
CompTIA IT Fundamentals or CompTIA A
or
Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Windows Operating System Fundamentals
or equivalent combination of education and work related experience
- Minimum of three (3) years hands on experience as a Computer Technician supporting data related computing services requirements, and at least one year supporting voice (VOIP) related requirements
- Experience with the installation and use of computer application software focusing on Microsoft products such as Windows Operating Systems and Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) required.
- Three (3) years experience in a multi-platform environment supporting its networking infrastructure, operating systems and protocols.
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills including identifying and resolving computer and peripheral setup, trouble shooting, and component failure.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Proven interpersonal relation skills.
- Valid Massachusetts drivers license for automobiles.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Schedule Details: 80PP (40 Hours Per Week), Mon-Fri, 7a-3p, Rotating On-Call schedule including Weekends & Holidays
