Site Engineer

I am currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to work for a very reputable ground works contractor who are delivering the ground works & frame for a large new build retail unit in Falmouth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for groundworks, foundations, drainage, and external works

• Accurate positioning and checking of holding down bolts and base plates

• Overseeing and verifying drainage installation and associated works

• Producing and updating site drawings using AutoCAD

• Interpreting construction drawings and specifications

• Managing QA checks, as-builts, and site records

• Coordinating with site managers, subcontractors, and surveyors

• Ensuring works are delivered to specification and programme

• Supporting health & safety compliance on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks or civils projects

• Strong experience with holding down bolts, drainage, and foundations

• Proficient in AutoCAD

• Competent with setting out equipment (GPS / Total Station)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Good communication and reporting skills

• CSCS card (essential)

• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable but not essential)
