This is a field based Electronic / Electrical Service Engineer vacancy for a very well established and respected specialist in instrumentation, PLC control and automation systems to the marine industry.
Responsibilities include:
- 80% scheduled electrical/electronic installation, commissioning and refit projects – typically 10‑14 day deployments across the UK, with a heavy focus on customers around Falmouth / Devonport.
- 20% reactionary fault finding and repair – 1‑2 day trips on first and third party instrumentation, PLC controls and automation equipment or machinery.
- International projects, up to 6 weeks per year (Gibraltar, UAE, Bahrain and USA).
- Practical, hands‑on Electrical or Electronic Service/Maintenance Engineer with a track record in an industrial setting.
- Strong practical grasp of electronic engineering.
- Familiarity with temperature, pressure & level measurement is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming and maintenance is a plus.
- Flexible and ready to travel and stay away as required.
