Job Overview

Boscawen is an exciting place to work; a nurse‑led unit at Falmouth Community Hospital created to accept patients from home. Nurses and Healthcare Assistants use their assessment skills and develop practical skills.

We are looking for a dynamic person who wants to join our team and expand their skill set within support roles, with the opportunity to support dynamic patient flow within a multidisciplinary team that includes doctors, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

Please note:

This opportunity is open to internal candidates as a secondment. Before applying, please ensure you have discussed the post with your current line manager and obtained their agreement to support your release for the duration of the secondment.

• Provide housekeeping services to the ward manager in the ward environment.
• Work as an integral part of the ward team and coordinate all patient facilities/services in the ward area to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Ensure the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet patient needs as determined by the ward manager/charge nurse.
• Collaborate closely with the senior general services assistant, contractors, and support services departments.
• Monitor quality standards and rectify deficiencies in the ward environment.

We are an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital‑based care to improve people's physical and mental health, and provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.
