We are seeking a motivated Apprentice CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team.

As an apprentice aligned to the machine shop, you will learn and develop skills to use a range of CNC machines including 3, 4, 5 and 10 axis equipment. You will:

• Set and operate different machine types and carry out total preventative maintenance (TPM) activities.
• Create CNC programs and understand cutting techniques for a variety of materials.
• Support multiple equipment types and undergo training to develop your knowledge and skills.
• Mentored by machine shop technicians sharing specialist knowledge.
• Be responsible for your own quality, safety, and the safety of others.

• Develop skills needed to safely set and operate complex machinery.
• Learn machine safety procedures.
• Build a safety‑first culture when setting machines, including risk assessment and COSHH.
• Use and understand different metrology equipment.
• Apply continuous improvement, lean and 5S principles.
• Conduct non‑conformance investigations including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Learn about Watson‑Marlow values and how we apply them daily.

• Engineering aptitude demonstrated by previous learning.
• Good grades in mathematics and English.
• Willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to commit to three years of training.
