In this pivotal role, you will:- Lead surveillance testing programmes, analysing product performance, identifying risks, and driving improvements through data‑led insights
- Develop and validate metrology methods across dimensional, mechanical, and functional measurements
- Take ownership of measurement system analysis (MSA), ensuring robust, accurate and compliant measurement processes
- Design and optimise CMM programmes for complex, tight‑tolerance components
- Create and implement test protocols and technical procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
- Conduct hands‑on testing and inspection, producing clear, evidence‑based reports
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve technical challenges and support audits
Experience:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Significant experience in metrology, dimensional inspection, or measurement systems engineering
- Proven ability in CMM programming (e.g. PC‑DMIS, Calypso or similar)
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 within regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience developing technical procedures, inspection plans, and test protocols
- Expertise in statistical analysis, MSA, and capability studies
- Experience working with pumps, tubing, or fluid‑handling systems
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- A hands‑on approach with testing equipment and measurement systems
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
- Confidence presenting complex data to stakeholders and auditors
- A proactive, structured approach with the ability to drive continuous improvement independently
