CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established international business based in the Fareham, Hampshire area to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finalist or recently qualified accountant who enjoys combining hands‑on financial reporting with genuine business partnering.
What will the Financial Accountant role involve?- Partner closely with local Business Controllers and finance teams to review monthly results, investigate variances and ensure the numbers accurately reflect business activity
- Manage key revenue accounting activities, including reconciliations, revenue recognition, cut-off, rebates and returns provisions
- Take responsibility for operating expenditure reporting, including accruals, prepayments and monthly spend analysis
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, supporting quarterly balance sheet reviews
- Produce monthly reporting packs and provide clear variance commentary for stakeholders
- Ensure financial reporting is delivered in accordance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policies and the internal control framework
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA finalist or recently qualified accountant
- Ideally 1–3 years’ relevant accounting experience, gained within industry, a multinational organisation
- Strong understanding of month‑end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
- Exposure to US GAAP and/or SOX controls would be highly advantageous
- Experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP would be beneficial
- Flexible working arrangements available within the requirements of the role
- Exposure to a large international finance environment supporting multiple European markets
- Excellent opportunity to broaden experience across financial reporting, controls, audit, budgeting and business partnering
