What’s insurance, you ask? Insurance is when an insurance company agrees to cover the cost if a customer experiences a financial loss, like from a fire or storm, in exchange for a payment called a premium. Our goal at Zurich is to offer protection and solutions for both individuals and businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting improvement projects across key operational processes
  • Mapping and analysing workflows
  • Collecting and interpreting data to help guide decision‑making
  • Supporting communication and engagement activities
  • Working with colleagues to embed new ways of working
  • Building relationships and developing your negotiation skills to stronger work with various stakeholders
  • Working with an experienced team of people who will support you and help you navigate a dynamic and rapidly changing insurance market.
  • Understanding our various processes and how we can all work to improve them through things like automation and artificial intelligence.
  • Occasional travel to London to support our underwriting teams and collaborating to best support our stakeholders.
  • Working to support our large commercial global customers.

Alongside your day‑to‑day work activities, you’ll complete a Business Improvement Apprenticeship. The Level 4 apprenticeship will take around 18 months. Your qualification is just the start of your career e your apprenticeship is complete you will have plenty of opportunities to put your new skills into practice while continuing to develop and grow.

What you’ll need:
  • Due to government restrictions, you must have the permanent right to reside and work in the UK before you apply. Also, you must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years at the time of application.
  • Minimum of three A Levels at A*–C (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 including Maths and English.
  • A professional attitude with a positive ‘can do’ approach to your work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Commitment & dedication to study an apprenticeship qualification
  • Ability to use some independent thinking
  • The ability to work in a team
