Service Designer - Government

Service Designer - Central Government (Contract) Duration: 3 Months Rate: £400 - £450 per day (Inside IR35)

Remote with occasional travel to London We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to support a large UK Central Government department on an initial 3-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked in government environments and is confident operating within GDS standards.

The Role You will play a key role in shaping and improving public services, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to design user-centred, end-to-end services.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing services within a large UK government organisation Applying service design principles across complex, multi-channel services Collaborating with product managers, user researchers, content designers, and developers Mapping service journeys and identifying opportunities for improvement Ensuring services meet GDS standards and best practice About You Essential experience:
Proven experience working as a Service Designer within Central Government Strong knowledge of GDS and hands-on experience using the  Design System Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams Ability to communicate service design concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders Reasonable Adjustments:
