This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a highly supportive pastoral team on a permanent basis from September or October 2026.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional learning needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence and achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Working closely with teachers to adapt learning and promote engagement.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong relationships with students.
  • Providing emotional, social and academic support throughout the school day.
  • Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can flourish.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, compassionate and resilient.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to helping every student achieve their personal best.
  • Can work effectively as part of a collaborative staff team.
  • Has a genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
