Lecturer - Chef

Care to Join Us? As our new Chef Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding, student-centred learning experience. You will teach across courses and RWE sessions, support students through their learning and placements, and provide the academic and pastoral guidance they need to succeed. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help learners develop their skills, achieve their goals and progress towards their future careers.

To teach on courses and RWE sessions within the Kitchens and Restaurant and work to continue to ensure that it is an outstanding provision that has a positive impact on the learner and assessment process Classroom teaching, tutorial work and associated outreach duties, residential, open and distance learning courses and student placements All associated organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking and appropriate student welfare and academic counselling responsibilities;
Acting as a Personal Tutor to students as required and undertaking all of the associated duties including pastoral care support. Making a full contribution to the team approach to learning and teaching. Implementing a student-centred negotiated learning programme in accordance with the College's curriculum framework. Implementing agreed induction procedures and processes for students. Ensuring that students are informed of what is expected of them at every stage of their programme and that an awareness of what the programme involves is a feature of all reviews undertaken with students.

Ensuring that appropriate assignments, tasks and activities are regularly set and assessed and that feedback is given to students in ways that will allow them to develop and achieve progression. Contributing to the organisation of and ensure that there are appropriate work placements. Skills/

Experience:

Highly motivated professional with a range of industry experience and knowledge Good working knowledge of IT

Qualifications:

Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent. Level 3/4 qualification in the relevant area of expertise (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe) Level 5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe) Ideal Attributes:
