Are you an experienced Applications & Test Engineer with strong hands-on skills in electronics and firmware, looking to work with innovative touch technologies?
This company specialises in developing bespoke hardware and firmware silicon devices. Their products serve automotive and industrial sectors, providing cutting-edge solutions that ensure high-quality customer integration. They are seeking a talented Applications & Test Engineer to join their engineering team in Fareham, UK, to contribute to the development and validation of their next-generation technology.
Responsibilities of this Applications & Test Engineer job based in Fareham:
• Internal prototyping, tuning, testing, and gaining a deep understanding of complete system-level solutions
• Hands-on building and testing of equipment
• Testing of firmware and validation of software
• Troubleshooting and identifying solutions for products already deployed in the field
• Developing proof of concepts based on customer requirements
• Interfacing with customers to understand product needs and translate them into viable aXiom-based solutions
Requirements of this Applications & Test Engineer job based in Fareham:
• Hands-on experience with electronic and firmware testing and fault finding
• Experience with in touch technology would be advantageous; candidates from HMI, semiconductor, or wider electronics industries will also be considered
• A degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline (other qualifications considered with relevant skills)
• Strong understanding of electronic circuit analysis and testing
• More than 3 years’ relevant industry experience
• Ability to combine technical testing expertise with a customer-facing, commercial mindset
