Civil Engineer

Position: Civil Engineer (all levels)

Our client, a fast-growing and award-winning Civil Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy, is currently seeking Civil Engineers at all levels to join their dynamic highways team. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to work on a range of fast-paced and complex schemes across various clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes

Undertake design work in accordance with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations, and the SuDS Manual Ensure high-quality drawing packages are produced consistently

Manage client interactions for designated aspects of projects

Support senior team members with project completion

Mentor and train junior staff members

Collaborate closely with local authorities, developers, and architects

Attend client meetings and undertake site visits as necessary

Job Requirements:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software

Experience in drainage design and SuDS implementation

Strong understanding of relevant standards and codes such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and Manual for StreetsHND, BEng, MEng, or MSc in Civil Engineering Working towards or holding professional accreditation with the ICE Experience with in a civil engineering consultancy, working with various stakeholders

Ability and willingness to learn various engineering software

Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical reports (e.g., Flood Risk Assessments)
