Job Description & How to Apply Below
A global technology organisation is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to join its EMEA finance function. This is a key role within a shared services environment, providing operational leadership, strong financial control and continuous improvement across a multi-entity, multi-currency accounts payable operation.
You will act as the senior point of contact for Accounts Payable activity across the region, working closely with internal stakeholders and an outsourced processing team to ensure a high-quality, compliant and efficient service.
The role
As Accounts Payable Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and oversight of the EMEA AP function, operating at both an operational and process-improvement level.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing oversight of an offshore/outsourced transactional AP team processing approximately 6,000 invoices per month
* Acting as the main escalation point for complex or high-risk AP queries and issues
* Authorising payments across 12–15 different bank accounts in multiple currencies
* Monitoring service performance, KPIs and SLAs, and leading regular governance and review meetings
* Supporting internal and external audits and providing timely information and reporting
* Driving process improvements, standardisation and automation initiatives
* Acting as the key contact for AP-related queries from internal stakeholders across the business
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong operational background in Accounts Payable, along with the confidence to lead and influence across international teams.
You will ideally have experience working within shared services and have hands on ERP systems experience (ideally SAP).
Package and working pattern
* 25 days’ annual leave, private healthcare and company pension scheme
* 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Hybrid working pattern – 4 days on site and 1 day from home, with flexible start and finish times
