Data Business Analyst - Data Provisioning

Our client is seeking Data Business Analysts to support their transformation programme delivery, with a focus on source-to-target mapping, data quality, and stakeholder‑led validation.

• Produce attribute‑level source‑to‑target mappings (clear lineage, transformations, traceability)
• Interpret ERDs and logical/physical data models to inform mapping and analysis
• Use SQL to interrogate datasets, assess data quality, and validate joins/mapping logic
• Investigate data issues raised in test cycles and propose remediation with engineering/QA
• Work with data contracts, APIs and event streams to ensure accurate interpretation and end‑to‑end lineage
• Write development‑ready user stories from epics, with clear acceptance criteria
• Support solution design and delivery within a multi‑disciplinary Agile team
• Facilitate stakeholder sessions and support UAT through to sign‑off
• Track progress, provide updates, and align day‑to‑day with the Lead Data BA

• Strong experience producing source‑to‑target mappings at attribute level
• Strong SQL (analysis, data quality checks, join validation)
• Confident with data models (ERD/logical/physical)
• Working knowledge of APIs, event streams and data contracts
• Comfortable in Agile/SCRUM and writing clear user stories/acceptance criteria
• Clear communicator, proactive, ownership‑focused, collaborative
