The Supply Chain Operations Specialist coordinates procurement, inventory, equipment and logistics activity in support of RMI’s global operations. Acting as the central link between Operations, Finance, suppliers, logistics partners, IT and field teams, the role ensures that medical supplies, operational equipment and business assets are sourced, tracked, deployed and managed efficiently, accurately and cost‑effectively.

The postholder maintains supply chain visibility, cost control, inventory accuracy, asset accountability and equipment readiness across international projects and remote operating environments.

Key Responsibilities Supply Chain and Procurement Coordination
  • Coordinate procurement for medical supplies, operational equipment, IT assets and consumables across the business.
  • Manage suppliers, sourcing, onboarding, quotations, purchase orders and delivery performance to secure quality, value and continuity of supply.
  • Identify cost savings, service improvements and practical mitigations for supply chain risk.
  • Coordinate domestic and international purchasing to support projects in remote and challenging environments.
Finance and Commercial Interface
  • Act as the main Supply Chain interface with Finance, ensuring accurate purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier invoices and inventory transactions in Sage Intacct.
  • Review and resolve invoice, stock and procurement discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support month‑end reporting through accurate inventory valuations, stock reconciliations, asset records and supplier spend analysis.
  • Maintain clear documentation, audit trails and compliance with purchasing controls and company policies.
Inventory, Equipment and Asset Management
  • Maintain accurate stock records, inventory systems and asset registers across all projects.
  • Oversee equipment lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, calibration, tracking, redeployment and disposal.
  • Conduct stock counts, reconciliations and audits, taking corrective action where required.
  • Ensure operational and medical equipment remains compliant, serviceable and deployment ready.
IT and Business Asset Coordination
  • Coordinate the procurement, allocation, shipment, recovery and redeployment of laptops, tablets, mobile devices and other IT assets.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and accountability for company‑owned equipment.
  • Work with IT and Operations to forecast requirements and support onboarding, mobilisation and demobilisation activity.
Logistics and Operational Support
  • Coordinate worldwide movement of equipment, medical supplies and operational materials.
  • Identify practical, cost‑effective logistics solutions for remote, offshore and challenging locations.
  • Serve as a key contact for field and operational teams on equipment, inventory and supply chain requirements.
  • Ensure mobilisation, demobilisation and shipment activity is accurate and on schedule.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including MHRA.
  • Knowledge or purchase ordering, stock management and warehouse management systems (preferable).
  • Intermediate skill of Excel, Word and PowerPoint – Advanced preferred
  • Able to read and understand technical material relating to medications and medical equipment.
  • Language skills (i.e., proficient in English – verbal and written)
  • Able to communicate across varying levels up to and including Senior management.
Experience
  • Experience in a supply chain role, preferably in a medical supplies environment.
  • Experience in Good Distribution Practice. (Preferred)
  • International buying experience. (preferred)
  • Experience in multi‑site operations. (preferred)
