Continued investment, new customers, and a strong order book have created the opportunity for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to join our skilled engineering team.
We are looking for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer with a strong background in precision machining to take on a key role in programming, setting, and supporting the manufacture of high-spec components. The successful candidate will be responsible for offline programming using CAD/CAM software, and will be expected to play a hands-on role in the setting and optimisation of CNC processes.
Key Responsibilities- Offline programming of complex 5-axis CNC parts using industry-standard CAD/CAM software
- Creating programs for precision-machined components used in aerospace, defence, and motor sport applications
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3D models
- Selecting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure efficient and accurate machining
- CNC machine setting and supporting first-off production runs
- Working closely with machinists and engineering to resolve production issues
- Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation
- Proven experience as a 5-Axis CNC Programmer within a high-precision engineering environment
- Strong CAD/CAM programming skills with experience using offline programming software
- Excellent understanding of precision machining principles, tooling, and materials
- Ability to set and prove out complex CNC programs on the machine
- Experience working within sectors such as aerospace, defence, or Formula 1
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset
- £45,000-£50,000 per annum, DOE
- Overtime available and paid at 1.5x standard rate
- Stable days-based working hours (Mon-Fri, 7:30am to 4:00pm)
