Manual Machinist – Aerospace Manufacturing

Wild Recruitment is partnering with a leading Aerospace manufacturer to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist
. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team in a precision engineering environment.

Contract: Until July 2027

• Set up and operate manual machine tools including Jig Bores, lathes, and mills
  .
• Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings and specifications
  .
• Manufacture and rework components to tight tolerances and surface finishes
  .
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges, DTI’s).
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning
  .
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation
  .
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure compliance with design intent and customer requirements.

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist / Toolmaker in precision engineering or aerospace
  .
• Skilled in working with various materials and castings
  .
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  .
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards (preferred).
• Competent in using precision measuring equipment
  .
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
  .
• Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  .
• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
