We are recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager to join a specialist manufacturing business producing bespoke industrial cooling and heat exchange equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to drive continuous improvement across a busy fabrication and assembly environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving manufacturability, workflow and production efficiency whilst supporting engineering, fabrication and test teams across the full production process.

The role

Lead and develop the production engineering function
Improve shop floor workflow, routing and overall efficiency
Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activity
Work closely with design, fabrication and assembly teams to resolve production issues
Support new product introduction into manufacturing
Deliver measurable improvements in quality, cost and lead times
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with H&S and quality standards

What we are looking for

Engineering background within manufacturing or industrial environments is essential
Experience in fabricated or engineered to order products
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Hands on and practical approach to problem solving

Experience with in HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchangers or sheet metal fabrication would be advantageous
