Liberty Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established organisation in the search for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team.
This full-time permanent role will be based in Fareham. Paying up to £50,000 plus some fantastic benefits, this is not an opportunity to be missed.
The role:
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide practical Health & Safety advice, ensure regulatory compliance and continually develop the organisation’s approach to safe and sustainable working.
Key responsibilities:
Provide expert Health & Safety advice across business operations and customer projects
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practice
Engage with stakeholders across the business to promote compliance and a positive safety culture
Lead investigations into Health & Safety incidents, identifying root causes and appropriate corrective actions
Implement practical preventative and remedial measures to improve safe working practices
Ensure training and procedures remain aligned with legislation, industry best practice and relevant accreditation requirements
Maintain occupational Health & Safety and environmental management systems
Undertake audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate actions are completed
The ideal candidate:
Previous Health & Safety experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
NEBOSH qualified
IOSH or IIRSM membership/qualification
Strong knowledge and understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Experience writing and reviewing Health & Safety policies and procedures
Proven experience conducting incident investigations and producing reports
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels
Comfortable challenging existing practices and introducing new ways of working
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Willingness to travel to customer sites when required
Due to the nature of the organisation and its projects, candidates must be eligible to obtain the appropriate level of UK security clearance.
