Role OverviewWorking as part of a team of environmental test specialists, the successful candidate will deliver comprehensive environmental testing services, engaging with customers across many industry sectors and driving efficiency improvements in data management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct environmental testing (Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Ingress Protection) to relevant standards and defined test plans.
- Collaborate closely with customers during attended testing.
- Record test results using electronic logbook systems and produce test reports following company quality procedures.
- Serve as liaison with customers regarding specifications, conduct of tests and interpretation of results.
- Work with the test manager to ensure accurate work within agreed timescales.
- Assist in developing and refining test plans with customers.
- Support the development of test methods and departmental documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and develop procedures to enhance testing efficiency.
- Experience in a laboratory environment.
Desirable Requirements
- Practical experience delivering climatic test services, operating environmental test equipment.
- Previous experience in a test house environment.
- Knowledge of test laboratory quality and operating procedures.
- Technical qualification in a STEM subject area.
- Interest in working in a test environment.
- Motivated and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn.
- Flexible approach to work – willing to work overtime, ad hoc shifts or on customer sites as required.
- Good numerical, logical, organisational and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to deliver work independently or as part of a team to defined deadlines.
- Conscientious with good interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a commitment to delivering the best customer experience.
