We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their quality team.
What’s the role all about?
As a Quality Inspector
, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality standards and customer specifications across the manufacturing process.
This is a hands-on role involving detailed inspection activities, measurement reporting and close collaboration with production and engineering teams.
A key part of this role is the ability to programme and operate CMM equipment
, making previous CMM programming experience essential.
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections on precision manufactured components
- Programme and operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional accuracy
- Use a range of manual inspection equipment including micrometres, verniers and gauges
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and GD&T
- Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions
- Complete inspection documentation and quality records accurately
- Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement activities
- Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with customer, industry and internal quality standards
- Experience working within a Quality Inspection role in manufacturing or precision engineering
- CMM programming experience – essential
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Experience using a range of manual measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with in aerospace, defence or regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
