About Percival Aviation

Percival Aviation designs and manufactures high-quality aircraft interior products for the aerospace industry. We are committed to delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across the aviation supply chain.

Role Purpose

The Quality Engineer – Compliance plays a key role in maintaining and developing our management systems, ensuring the organisation continues to meet the requirements of its regulatory approvals and industry standards. Reporting to the Safety and Compliance Manager, you will operate the internal and supplier audit programme, lead the supplier evaluation and approval process, and help ensure the business has the competent, authorised people and robust processes needed to deliver conformity and traceability throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain management system manuals, procedures and forms, ensuring documentation remains compliant and provides an up-to-date description of the organisation.
  • Operate the management systems audit programme – scheduling internal and supplier oversight audits to meet regulatory and standards requirements, and tracking schedule adherence and audit closure.
  • Prepare, perform and document your own audits, facilitate audits performed by external parties, and issue and track findings through to closure.
  • Coach others in auditing, effective root cause analysis and the definition of corrective actions.
  • Lead the supplier evaluation, approval and monitoring process – assessing and approving new suppliers, monitoring performance to determine risk and oversight levels, and integrating suppliers into the audit programme.
  • Flow down QMS and regulatory requirements to suppliers where appropriate, including information, training and personnel authorisations, and work proactively with suppliers to improve their performance.
  • Ensure the organisation has suitably competent and authorised personnel – performing competency assessments, preparing authorisations, issuing stamps, and maintaining authorisation and skills matrices.
  • Maintain Production / Design Organisation linkages – preparing arrangements for signature, obtaining Statements of Approved Design Data, and ensuring planned work remains within the scope of the Production Organisation Approval.
  • Support key projects, including the ongoing development of the supplier approval process, improvements to training and authorisation controls, and the implementation of Solid Works PDM.
  • Deputise for the Product Quality Engineer or Safety & Compliance Manager when required, coach the Quality Technician, and support the deployment of Safety Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and other requirements as they arise.
