• Schematic Capture & PCB Design:
  Develop detailed schematics and perform multi‑layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layouts for critical onboard electronic systems.
• Digital Design:
  Design and implement digital circuitry for various vehicle subsystems.
• Electronics Assembly & Debugging:
  Participate in the assembly of electronic prototypes and conduct thorough fault‑finding and debugging to ensure system functionality.
• Communication Interfaces:
  Design and integrate various communication interfaces, including Ethernet, I2C, MIPI CSI‑2, and other serial communication protocols.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with cross‑functional teams, particularly the software team, to ensure seamless hardware‑software integration and system optimization.
• Problem Solving:
  Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex electronic design and integration challenges.
• Documentation:
  Create comprehensive design documentation, test plans, and assembly procedures.

• A Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven professional experience in electronics design and development.

• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g. Eagle, Altium Designer, KiCad, Fusion
  360 etc).
• Demonstrable experience with multi‑layer PCB design.
• Strong understanding of digital electronics design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with electronics assembly, testing, fault‑finding, and debugging.
• Solid knowledge of common communication interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.

• Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of high‑power electronics, 3‑phase motors, and motor drivers.
• Experience with sensor and camera integration.
• Understanding of mixed‑signal circuit design.
• Experience with microcontroller programming (C/C++, Assembly, Python).
• Familiarity with development boards like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
• Experience with FPGAs and Hardware Description Languages (VHDL or Verilog).

This position is based at our production facility in Fareham, UK with hybrid options available.
