Twelve-month position, Monday-Friday,8:00 am to 4:30 pm and other times to reach agency goals or job duties.

Remote option available in Central, Northern, or Western ND.
Salary: $60,000 - $64,000
Decision Making Authority:
Responsible for best interests of the South East Education Cooperative (SEEC) given what has been budgeted and carefully utilizes funding to achieve expected goals. Approval required from the Director of Student Services (or assigned designee) on specific matters as outlined in policies and procedures.
The Child Care health and Safety Specialist is a health professional with specialized knowledge and training to support programs in achieving and maintaining health and safety in early childhood settings. This position works with early childhood providers, center staff, and Best in Class classrooms.
Lead and move forward the statewide Child Care Aware initiative by providing leadership and guidance to CCA team members in the delivery and implementation of the Resource &Referral, Technical Assistance & Coaching, and Professional Development programs. Responsible for the management and oversight of the CCA team within their day-to-day operations including the delivery of services, stakeholder communication and satisfaction, and State contract compliance.
Responsible to evaluate program ratings against appropriate sections of Standards 1-5 of the Advanc
ED Accreditation “self-review” standards. Implements cohesive actions to improve self-ratings.

This is realized by building positive internal individual and team relationships, positive relationships with external partners and exhibiting behaviors that contribute to the success of short and long-term goals of the agency. These behaviors include a focus on timely completion and high quality of work (with or without supervision) while following all legal, compliance, departmental, documentation, safety, timelines, program and other standards per company policies and procedures.
Position requires close collaboration with the Director of Student Services, Student Services Team, early childhood stakeholders, other Regional Education Associations, SEEC Employees along with Community and Funding Agencies.
Performance is equally a function of goal attainment; timely and accurate completion of assignments; building positive internal and external relationships; and planning, communicating and coordinating work to avoid last minute confusion and adherence legal/compliance guidelines and policies/procedures.
SignificantJob Duties
80% Program Management
Provide health and safety consultations to programs participating in Start Up or Bright and Early ND Step 2 cohorts.
Provide individualized assistance to providers through technical assistance, training and modeling on licensing health and safety requirements.
Complete accreditation visits.
Work in tandem with ND child care licensing specialists to support child care providers in satisfying licensing compliance for high level correction orders or intent to revoke, help develop compliance plans and complete accreditation visits.
