Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9‑month tenure. Salary range: $18.43 to $22.85 per hour. Benefits are available (eligible).
All building principals will call selected candidates. Additional education or experience may be required. Title I positions require certification.
What You DoParaeducators provide instructional support and deliver other direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. Two classifications: para educator I and II. Schools hire depending on student/school needs.
What You Need- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians orally and in writing
- Basic academic and computer skills
- Experience working or volunteering in a school setting
- Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Associate’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field
- Experience as a direct support professional, personal care aide, CNA, or similar position
