Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Data Centers

Available at any location in the United States. Ideally, candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office.

$69,500.00 – $95,500.00 per year

• Accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
• Provide on‑site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
• Design and optimize control systems for new facilities, collaborating with architects, engineers, and designers.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Produce options and optimizations for process control, instrumentation, and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience working with instrumentation and control.
• Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
• Experience working with data centers.
• Engineer in Training (EIT).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contributed with innovative ideas.
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Passion for buildings and construction.
