Job Summary: Neurodiagnostic Technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing care to our patients. Sanford Health is a large not-for-profit health system and seeks a compassionate, patient-focused Neurodiagnostic Technologist to support the team in this role.
Responsibilities- May perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and/or electroencephalography (EEG) testing for all patient populations.
- Understand the testing equipment, including its structure, indications for use, physiological effects upon the patient, and basic maintenance procedures.
- Possess working knowledge of the diseases and pathological conditions encountered.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from an approved program of Electroneuro diagnostic Technology (ENDT) or similar education is preferred. Completion of department approved training program is required.
- Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics and electrical safety, general knowledge of EEG and EP instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical/pharmacological conditions is preferred. Experience in the area of specialty or applicable health care experience is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
