Behavioral Health Therapist Crisis Services

Southeast Behavioral Health Clinic – Fargo, ND – Behavioral Health Therapist Crisis Services (Evening and Weekends)

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for the ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high‑quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

Be part of an interdisciplinary team that provides individuals with an opportunity for recovery management so they can live and work independently in their home and community.

This is a crisis position and therefore qualifies for additional pay due to the nature of services provided. $7,831 – $13,053 (Mid $10,442)

In this position you will conduct crisis stabilization or therapeutic intervention, provide supportive therapy to mitigate crisis situations, develop safety plans for individuals at risk, and assist individuals in obtaining appropriate services, either within or outside the agency. You will also coordinate social detox/crisis residential placements and admissions to the North Dakota State Hospital. This position also provides support to the other regions as needed via telehealth platforms.

This position will cover nights, weekends and holidays when the Behavioral Health Clinic is closed.

, if you are committed to a least restrictive and person‑centered philosophy. Additionally, you will need to be comfortable providing services in homes and communities, as most services are provided in those locations. Travel is a norm with this position.

To be considered for the Clinician position
, you are required to have a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or areas approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners and ND licensure as a LCSW or LPCC.

  • Or a Doctorate in Psychology and ND licensure as a psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.

We will consider filling this position as a Human Relations Counselor
.

Human Relations Counselors must have master's degrees in Counseling and LAPC licensure, as well as be within two years of LPCC licensure. Details regarding licensure status and the number of training hours already obtained must be submitted with the application.

  • Or a master's degree in Social Work and LMSW licensure.
  • Or a master's degree in Counseling and LPC licensure.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new‑hire orientation.
