About This RoleThe primary role of the RBG Technology Director is to drive the strategic vision and tactical implementation of technology solutions within the Resources Business Group. You will collaborate closely with RBG leadership, Corporate Technology, and HDR stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement technology initiatives focused on data management, optimization, automation, and visualization.
Success includes developing delivery approaches, connecting talent, shaping the strategic plan for 3–5 years, and positioning HDR as a differentiator. Clear communication with non-technical leadership and ability to prioritize competing interests are essential.
Primary Responsibilities- Facilitate development of an RBG technology vision and roadmap identifying strategies for technology investments.
- Advancement and implementation of technology related to digital delivery, data management, optimization, automation, and visualization.
- Collaborate with external technology vendors and internal business classes to align and advance program initiatives in data analytics and AI.
- Develop and implement standardized approaches and best practices for increased efficiency and quality of technology work.
- Identify programmatic hardware and software needs and work with corporate technology to implement solutions.
- Develop technology guidelines, policies, and RBG software validation and maintenance.
- Develop strategies to support practice and professional discipline groups for technology talent collaboration and skill development.
- Participate on project teams for larger programs and pursuits.
- Experience evaluating technology and software development and deployment.
- Demonstrated understanding of technologies and their application within power, waste, and/or industrial sectors.
- Experience in numerical modeling, digital production, data sciences, and artificial intelligence.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 projects or leading project teams in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industries.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science, Systems Administration, or similar.
- Proven ability to formulate and execute applied technology strategies, implementation plans, and foster change within an organization.
- Experience in data architecture, data management, and well-versed in industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills and collaboration with diverse teams to advance projects.
- Experience managing diverse teams.
- Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.
- Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values.

Compensation: $189,280 - $239,200 (North America based on experience and location).
