* Job Description:

** The Associate Insurance Agent is responsible for selling insurance products, providing high‑quality customer service, and supporting the agency’s growth through proactive relationship‑building. This role will call leads provided by the bank, conduct insurance reviews, recommends appropriate coverage solutions, and manages ongoing customer needs. The Associate Insurance Agent functions as a full sales and service representative, similar to other Insurance Advisors, and plays a key role in customer acquisition and retention.

* SCHEDULE:

** 8-5 M-F; this role will be located on-site at our Fargo Corporate Office

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

**** Sales & Customer Acquisition
*** Sell insurance products to new and existing customers.
* Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
* Conduct insurance reviews and present proposals that align with customer goals.
* Generate new business through outbound calls, referrals, and relationship‑building.
* Cross‑sell and up‑sell additional products when appropriate.
* Process policy changes accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain regular communication with customers via phone and email.
* Provide clear explanations of policies, coverage differences, and carrier options.
* Ensure timely follow‑up on all account‑related matters.
** Insurance Operations
*** Maintain required insurance licenses and complete continuing education.
* Prepare accurate insurance proposals, renewal packages, and documentation.
* Maintain accurate records and adhere to agency procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
** Team Collaboration
*** Work closely with agency team members to ensure consistent, high‑quality service.
* Maintain positive working relationships with insurance carrier representatives.
* Contribute to a supportive, professional, and customer‑focused work environment.
** Other:
*** Provide a “Wow” customer service experience for team members and customers.
* Develop and maintain productive relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and vendors.
* Prompt and reliable attendance is essential to provide expected levels of service.
* Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
* Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, including resolving problems or concerns with customers or team members.

* EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

** High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred; 1-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Active insurance licensing preferred, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
