Job Description SummaryAs a Service Manager, you will manage the servicing of company and customer equipment in a timely and effective manner.
Duties & Responsibilities- Manage the repair and maintenance of company owned and customer equipment, including organization of yard status (Ready to Rent, Returned, Down)
- Prepare work schedules and handle service calls to meet customer needs and assure equipment availability.
- Order parts to maintain adequate supplies.
- Provide training and assistance to staff mechanics.
- Work with equipment vendors to learn maintenance requirements of new equipment added to inventory.
- Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance or safety checks.
- Document equipment status before and after rental.
- Handle customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation.
- Promote safety awareness and perform quality control checks.
- Maintain organized equipment service records and update, create, close, and bill work orders.
- File warranty claims in a timely fashion, commission new equipment, and manage parts inventory.
- Dispose of solid and hazardous material waste.
- Prepare equipment service, fleet status, open work order, warranty claim, inventory, financial, and performance reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Extensive experience in repair and maintenance of self‑propelled platforms and lifts.
- Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and supervisory activities.
- Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
- Clear perspective on maintenance and repair issues in the industry.
- Planning and management experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Reporting experience.
- Inventory management experience.
Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.
CompensationBase Pay Range: $52,440.00 – $62,272.50. Starting rate may vary based on factors such as location, education, training, and/or experience.
