Overview
The Project Manager (Wind) role at Wanzek Construction, Inc., a Mas Tec Company, is the single point of responsibility for accomplishing project objectives in safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. Project Managers lead the project team through all phases of the project from acquisition through pre-construction, execution, and close-out. Competency in leadership, communication, planning, and scope management is key to project success.
Location& Travel Details
This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time. You may be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You’ll spend 8-18 months on average per project. Per diem is provided in addition to base pay to help cover living expenses. This position is eligible for rotation every 4 weeks.

Responsibilities- Leadership & Communication:
Assure project abides by all environmental safety awareness and compliance - Support and further the company culture, values, key results, and quality management
- Document and communicate project progress, performance, and issues to all stakeholders
- Planning & Scope Management
- Provide day-to-day direction and oversight of project resources (staff, equipment, subcontractors) and materials
- Successfully integrate resources, activities, and deliverables as outlined in the Project Execution Plan
- Own the project budget, cost, forecast, and schedule
- Provide successful management of all contract documents, risks and changes throughout the project
- Project Integration Management: coordinate project processes and activities
- Project Scope Management: ensure the project includes all required work
- Project Time Management: monitor timely completion of the project
- Project Cost Management: manage planning, budgeting, financing, and cost controls to stay within the approved budget
- Project Quality Management: establish and support quality policies and objectives
- Project Human Resource Management: organize, manage, and lead the project team
- Project Communications Management: manage project information planning, distribution, storage, and retrieval

Risk Management:
conduct risk planning, analysis, response planning, and controlling risk - Project Procurement Management: procure outside products, services, or results as needed
- Project Stakeholder Management: identify and engage stakeholders and manage their expectations
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree (B.S.) in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years of construction industry experience and knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those affected by this role by aligning with Wanzek s Zero Injury principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Timberline, and construction software
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, contracts, regulations
- Write reports and project documentation; communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, clients, and the public
- Present information to top management and diverse audiences
- Ability to perform arithmetic and basic algebra/geometry as needed for project estimates and planning
- Problem-solving in standardized situations and ability to interpret various instructions
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites 60% of the time
