Job Summary
Responsible for setting up and operating a manual screen printing station, following company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines. Troubleshoots printing issues and makes adjustments to maintain optimal print quality, color, registration, and production speed. Works with various inks, solvents, and substrates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Receive job assignments and verify order details including quantity, color sequence, and substrate.
- Gather and prep necessary materials (substrate, screen, ink, squeegee, etc.).
- Set up and operate screen printing press as per company and safety guidelines.
- Print proof sheets, check setup for registration, ink viscosity, and color accuracy.
- Obtain approval for production run; perform regular quality checks during production.
- Adjust dryer settings and press to optimize drying or curing.
- Maintain production speed and quality; troubleshoot and solve printing problems.
- Complete and sign off on production records and documentation.
- Keep the press, workstation, and immediate area clean, returning unused ink and disposing of waste.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, such as racking, finishing, and hole punching.
- May help train other employees.
- Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Pay Rate: $18–$22 per hour
- High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
- Strong judgment of color, design, and print quality.
- Read and follow instructions; basic math abilities, including measuring.
- Regular standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally).
- Occasional sitting, kneeling, or crouching;
Color and detail vision required.
- Exposure to moving machinery, fumes, chemicals, and heat; moderate to loud noise.
