Pay RangeBase pay: $25.00/hr – $33.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience)
Day in the Life in Britton, SDYour shift begins with a clear goal: deliver precise parts that meet exact customer specifications. You review the work order, study blueprints and technical drawings, and prepare the CNC machine for a new run. You load and set tools, calibrate offsets, and verify your setup before running the first piece. Throughout production, you monitor performance and quality, adjusting as needed to keep everything on target.
When a machine hiccup appears, you diagnose and troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance, and get production back on track. You collaborate with engineering and production teammates to fine‑tune processes, and you log machine settings and production details so the next run is even smoother. All the while, you follow safety protocols and keep your work area clean and orderly.
What You Will Do- Set up and calibrate CNC machines for production runs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and part quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipment issues.
- Partner with engineering and production to improve processes.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and machine settings.
- Follow safety procedures and sustain a clean, organized workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a machining‑related technical degree/certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist or setup technician.
- Solid knowledge of CNC machining methods, tooling, and setups.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and a team‑first mindset.
