This position will be responsible for performing a variety of operations to include but not limited to: the forming, cutting, bending, and braking of material to form fabricated parts correctly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Operate most sheet metal machines such as press brake, shear, roll, and other machinery as required
- Fabricate and assemble parts and product in timely manner
- Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to cut and form pieces to required dimensions
- Verify conformance of parts to specifications
- Operate forklift as needed
- Operate and understand proper lifting and rigging techniques
- Monitor machines at all times for proper operation
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements
- Perform all other duties as required by management
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Experience in the metal fabrication process (Preferred)
- Must know how to read blueprints
- Receives work orders and prints and use shop calculations/math if necessary; works from complex drawings, prints, templates, and specifications
- Excellent skills in Math
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicate and understand both written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work well alone and with others
- Ability to work safely and accurately
- Capacity to bend, sit, stand, and stoop for periods during normal job duties as required
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
