We are looking for an Email Marketing Strategist to partner with our email & SMS clients on their campaigns, flows, and automations. The ideal candidate has a hunger to help clients scale revenue, and a strong marketing background and email/SMS experience.

The Role in a NutshellThe Email Marketing Strategist is a pivotal role at AdShark that will oversee the strategy, execution, and optimization of all email marketing & SMS initiatives. This individual will help facilitate the campaigns & automations/flows for our email clients, while also helping us continue to scale and grow email marketing & SMS as a vertical in our business. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most fun, creative, and strategically-minded marketers this side of the Mississippi… and some amazing clients, too.
(P.s… most of our email marketing efforts take place in Klaviyo – if you have Klaviyo and/or eCommerce marketing experience, that’s a huge plus!).

Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Developing various email marketing strategies for our email marketing clients, including:
- Audience segmentation & strategy
- Automation & flow development
- Email design and written content planning
- Tracking and reporting on campaign performance
- Working within our email platforms (Klaviyo, mostly) and staying up-to-date on the latest platform updates, trends, and insights
- Understanding ecommerce marketing best practices and educating our team on ways to grow ecommerce accounts
- Building strong and lasting relationships with our email marketing clients
- Collaborating with our PPC and Creative departments on various marketing strategies that overlap between email/SMS and digital ad campaigns
- Helping our clients grow and scale their revenue attributed to email & SMS
- Routinely presenting and building reports to show the value of our email marketing initiatives
- Assisting with business development needs as it relates to email marketing, including helping to develop proposals for new email clients + building collateral to help promote them
- Researching your clients’ competitors, their industry, and their products to have a thorough understanding of strategies that will convert for their audience(s)
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance and optimizing email campaigns based on data, new product offerings, audience signals, and more
- Onboarding new email marketing clients and making sure they have a successful transition into working with AdShark on email services
- Identifying gaps and opportunities within AdShark’s processes or service offerings, and finding ways to continue to add value to our small (but growing) company
- Helping us identify the best way to scale your department, and add onto your team
- Having SO much fun that you start to question if this is really “work”
