Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN)
Location:
Not Specified. This role involves providing patient care on a busy, high-acuity medical-surgical unit within a Level 1 trauma center. The position entails initial patient admissions, care until transfer, and working within a fast-paced environment utilizing electronic medical records and unit equipment.

Education Requirements:
BLS (AHA); at least 2 years of previous Medical/Surgical (Med Surg) experience, with Level 1 trauma center experience and Epic electronic medical record system experience. - Schedule:
12-hour shifts or ), rotating shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with no call. - Required Qualifications:
Valid nursing license, willingness to wait for license submission, and ability to work in a busy, fast-paced setting. - Responsibilities include assisting in general medical and surgical patient care, initial admissions, and care for patients awaiting transfer to their units.
- Float:
Float rotation may be required. - Bed size: 15 private rooms.
- Nurse to patient ratio: 5:1 during day shifts, 6:1 during night shifts.
- Dress Code:
Navy Blue Scrubs. - Additional job-specific details:
New medical/surgical unit, charting in EPIC, utilizes Zebra phones, Omnicell medication system, and Aleris IV pumps.
