American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring Level 1 trauma hospital experience and an active ND or compact RN license.

• Acute care Med Surg unit (5SE) within a Level 1 trauma hospital
• 47-bed unit caring for Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• 12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation with every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float required to any Med Surg unit across any campus
• Uses Epic EMR, Accu Dose, bladder scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry equipment

• Active ND or compact state RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg experience in a hospital with 200+ beds and Level 2 or higher trauma designation
• Travel RN experience required unless candidate has multiple years of experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Epic EMR experience required
• Surgical oncology patient care experience preferred but not required

• Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Practices within full scope of nursing expertise using age and population-specific standards
• Orientation includes 1 day of lead center training followed by two 12-hour precepted shifts on the unit
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must disclose any prior employment with Sanford Health; those with prior Sanford employment must have an end date at least 6 months before submission
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates residing between 60 and 80 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced local travel rate
• Facility may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks
