Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Cardiology

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Cardiac RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience in a large hospital setting.

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds required
• Cardiac experience preferred but not required
• Experience with Epic EMR required

• Acute care Med/Surg Cardiac unit (6CD) within a Level 1 trauma hospital
• 32-bed unit with patient ratios of 4-5:1 on day shift and 5-6:1 on night shift
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Schedule rotation pattern may vary by cycle, including shifts between days and nights across different schedule periods
• Self-scheduling available, though adjustments may be needed to balance unit staffing needs
• Required to float to any Med/Surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo
• Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Cannot accept candidates living within 60 miles of the facility
• Local travel rate applies for candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any previous employment with Sanford Health
• Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
