American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Neuro unit in a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring an active ND or compact RN license and recent large-hospital med/surg experience.

• 32-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit in an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation, including every other weekend and every other holiday
• Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Primary assignment to unit 6AB, with floating required to any Med/Surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo

• Active ND or compact state RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting of 200+ beds required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience with successful assignment completion required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neuro patient experience preferred but not required

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility cannot be considered
• Candidates living 60-80 miles from the facility are eligible at a reduced local rate
• Candidates with prior employment at Sanford Health must disclose this and have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
