FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable full‑time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; the ability to manage time and meet deadlines is crucial. We are based in Reno, NV, and have been in business for over 9 years.

MORTGAGE lenders require periodic updates on their properties. The purpose of the inspection is to verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.

• Verify property occupancy.
• Report general condition of the property.

• Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in the application.
• Work primarily exterior inspections (5‑6 minute inspection).
• Spend extended periods driving within your assigned territory.
• Meet industry standards for occupancy determination.

• Computer with internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good mileage; you pay for your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check with valid driver’s license.

Paid as a 1099 contractor. Each inspection has a flat rate, varying by county and volume. Equivalent earnings range from $30–$40 per hour.

Typical volume: 20–500 inspections per month, working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties offer higher rates; higher volume counties offer lower rates. Work is consistent month‑to‑month. No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
