- Shift: Varies (4:30-8:30pm with every other weekend, rotating holidays). Available to pick up shifts as they are available (7-3pm FSA, 9:30-6pm cook).

Must be reliable, in scrubs of any color/pattern for top and bottom, and able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Job SummaryThe Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring and recording proper temperature of food, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, receiving payment for food and beverages using a computerized register and other related responsibilities. The role complies with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service, provides outstanding customer service, and effectively communicates with patrons and co-workers.
The assistant demonstrates the ability to establish effective working relationships, maintains quality control standards, may operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers, and prefers experience in the food industry. The position requires the assistant to work independently when necessary, understand food safety and sanitation processes, and be on feet for the majority of the day while walking far distances.
Minimum of 16 years of age. Previous customer service experience, retail counting and reconciliation of money and knowledge of food service preferred. Must possess ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions, perform basic math, and be able to perform on-the-job training. Depending upon location of hire, Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame.
Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location requirements.
