Pay Range: $60,000 – $120,000

ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE
Experts in operations, process and efficiency who ensure a consistent experience for guests by setting product, maintaining in‑stock status, accurate pricing and proper sign‑off on the sales floor.
General Merchandise and Food Sales teams lead inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all GM areas. They also manage Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh, food‑safe experience and efficient fulfillment via pick, pack and ship.
Role OverviewAs a General Merchandise Sales Executive Team Leader you will build a guest‑first culture and drive store sales. No two days are the same; you will manage teams, plan workloads and ensure operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Drive total store sales and understand your role in sales growth and store profitability.
- Manage a team executing inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all GM areas.
- Lead experts in operations, accuracy and efficiency.
- Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pick, pack and ship fulfillment work (if applicable).
- Create a guest‑obsessed culture and lead your team to prioritize guest experience and deliver on store sales goals.
- Develop a strategy and utilize workload‑planning tools to complete all scheduled workload, ensuring you are guest ready at all times.
- Build a scheduling plan in partnership with team leaders based on monthly and weekly business workload and guest traffic.
- Conduct regular check‑ins with your team to ensure completion of tasks and workload.
- Manage all GM back‑room and sales‑floor areas, review all reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve.
- Oversee Team Leaders’ workload planning, including transitions, revisions and sales plans for all GM areas.
- Drive fulfillment sales by leading the Fulfillment team to fulfill each order accurately and efficiently and deliver on each guest promise time.
- Know and assess the competition; leverage guest insights and feedback to drive the business and become the destination of choice.
- Plan, manage and follow‑up on organizational and operational change.
- Anticipate and identify changes in unique store trends.
- Develop and coach your Team Leaders to elevate the skills and expertise of the team.
- Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
- Anticipate staffing needs and recruit both short‑term and long‑term.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead the team to work in the same way and hold others accountable.
- As a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.
- Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).
- Perform all other duties as required by business needs.
- 4‑year degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Experience managing conflict, leading and holding others accountable.
- Ability to relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports and information.
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting or moving up to 40 pounds.
- Accurately handle cash register operations.
- Climb ladders as needed.
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays) and regular attendance.
