Pipefitter Apprentice Job Description

This is an apprentice-level opportunity for individuals eager to break into the commercial HVAC trade. The role involves assisting experienced pipe fitters with various tasks and projects located in Fargo, ND. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM.

• Assist in locating and marking the position of pipes, pipe connections, and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.
• Help select the type and size of pipes and related materials according to job specifications.
• Assist in cutting, threading, assembling, and installing a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, including those made of brass, copper, lead, and plastic.
• Join piping through threaded, caulked, wiped, soldered, brazed, fused, welded, or cemented joints.
• Secure pipes to structures using clamps, brackets, and other supports.
• Perform various tasks including locating parts, tools, and equipment, running errands, cleaning, and parts running.

• Pipe fitting

• Experience with tools such as pipe cutters, threading machines, welding equipment, pressure gauges, and laser alignment tools.
• Welding certifications in SMAW, MIG, TIG, and Brazing are preferred.

The work environment includes exposure to varying conditions such as extreme hot and cold temperatures, low and bright light, tight and open spaces, and both clean and dirty areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fargo, ND.
