Software Engineer
Develop and customize machine operator interfaces for packaging machinery, configure communication with PLCs and plant-level applications, and integrate third-party equipment. Debug and prepare interfaces for factory acceptance testing, collaborate with automation programmers and customers, review operating manuals, and provide customer-site or remote support.
RequirementsA bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field is required, along with experience developing operator or user interfaces in a manufacturing environment. The role calls for knowledge of design patterns, MVC architecture, and debugging;
Java, Swing UI, and Apache Ant are preferred, while Git, Jira, and Net Beans are a plus.
