After School Program Site Assistant

Community School Site Assistant will specialize in assisting the Community School Coordinator to enhance youth and family academic and enrichment programs. Represent FPS positively and support cross-functional strategies in Student-Centered Learning and Family Engagement. Work is performed under the supervision of Community School Coordinators.

• Interacts with students and families to enhance and support the student’s education and enrichment experience and ensure success
• Collects and maintains relevant data daily, upholds data privacy and security, and speaks directly with parents and students
• Assists in the planning and implementation of school-age activities
• Provides support to Community School staff
• Attends community events/festivals/meetings/workshops facilitated by schools and community organizations that help drive student interest and achievement
• Works daily hours that complement out-of-school-time programming

• Experience and interest in working with youth in an enrichment, after school program, school age care context, or other related area
• Proficient in Google Suite
• Willingness to work after school and evenings and some weekends
• Must adhere to performance guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills
• Motivated self-starter and have the desire to motivate youth and families
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills
• Understanding of Faribault Public Schools policies and structure
• Proven customer service skills
• Proven resourcefulness
• Team player who possesses group-thinking skills
• Experience with Eleyo, Salesforce or other Community Education registration software preferred
• Experience with Infinite Campus or other school district Management Information System preferred

High school diploma or equivalent. AA degree preferred.
