We are seeking an Assistant Supervisor for our Materials Department. Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the right inventory is in the right place at the right time and supports our goal of becoming the world’s foremost custom solution provider.
Responsibilities- Lead the Materials team as a subject‑matter expert, guiding and organizing material coordinators and handlers.
- Collaborate with various departments to prioritize and meet internal and external customer needs.
- Ensure timely and accurate material delivery in alignment with production schedules.
- Define, improve, and uphold process standards to drive accountability among the team.
- Execute all types of material transactions using Epicor (ERP).
- Maintain inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and discrepancy investigations.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and product manufacturing.
- Read and interpret job travelers, pick lists, and system‑generated workflow assignments.
- Keep the warehouse area clean, restocked, and organized.
- Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
- Escalate team performance issues to the Supervisor.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to lead a small team with daily direction plans.
- Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines, and visually inspect raw materials.
- 4 years of material‑handling experience in a manufacturing environment (or proven knowledge of best practices).
- Experience using an ERP system.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork across functions.
- Ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and coordination.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending plant directives in English.
- Basic mathematics skills for interpreting process sheets and SOPs.
- Capacity for frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Pass a pre‑employment physical and drug test.
- Adherence to all PPE requirements (eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection).
